Regarding sizes...

All markers and monuments are described by their size in the same fashion, length x width x height. Length refers to the distance from left to right as you read the marker, width is the distance from front to back, and height is bottom to the highest point. Monument dimensions often fluctuate up to 1/2".

Below are measurements, and sizes, typically used throughout Michigan, for single and double graves.  Keep in mind that your cemetery may require an alternative. Give us a call. We may have your cemetery information available in our office.

• Infant marker 16 x 8 x 4
• Single Grave one name 24 x 12 x 4
• Single Grave two names 30 x 12 x 4
• Double Grave two names 36 x 12 x 4 or larger depending on amount of artwork.

• Infant marker 16 x 8 x 6
• Single Grave one name 24 x 12 x 6
• Single Grave two names 30 x 12 x 6
• Double Grave two names 36 x 12 x 6 or larger depending on amount of artwork.

• Infant marker 20 x 10 x 16
• Single Grave one name 24 x 10 x 16
• Single Grave two names 30 x 10 x 16
• Double Grave two names 36 x 10 x 16 or larger depending on amount of artwork.

• Infant marker 20 x 10 x 16 slant on a base 30 x 14 x 6
• Single Grave one name 24 x 10 x 16 slant on a base 34 x 14 x 6
• Single Grave two names 30 x 10 x 16 slant on a base 40 x 14 x 6
• Double Grave two names 36 x 10 x 16 slant on a base 48 x 14 x 6 or larger depending on amount of artwork.

• Infant monument 16 x 4 x 18 tablet on a base 20 x 10 x 6
• Single Grave one name 24 x 6 x 18 tablet on a base 34 x 12 x 6
• Double Grave two names 36 x 6 x 20 tablet on a base 48 x 12 x 6
• Double Grave two names 36 x 8 x 24 tablet on a base 48 x 14 x 8
• Double Grave two names 42 x 6 x 20 tablet on a base 54 x 12 x 6
• Double Grave two names 42 x 8 x 26 tablet on a base 54 x 14 x 8
• Double Grave two or more names 42 x 6 x 20 tablet on a base 54 x 12 x 6
• Double Grave two or more names 42 x 8 x 26 tablet on a base 54 x 14 x 8 or larger.

Bench common sizes: A single grave bench will typically have a seat 36” long while a two grave lot, or larger, will typically have a 48” long seat.  

Boulder common sizes: A single grave boulder is typically  24 x 10 to 18 x 16 to 24; Double grave lots typically run 36 x 10 to 18 x 18 to 36 or larger.

Remember these are simply common sizes for Michigan.  Your best bet is to go to your cemetery and measure memorials near your lot to determine which size is best suited for you.
